F1: On November 3, 2021, Kestrel Energy Partners, LLC ("Kestrel") made an in-kind distribution of common units of Star Group, L.P. ("Star Group") pro rata to its members, for no consideration. As members of Kestrel, none of Mr. Vermylen, The Robin C. Vermylen 2016 Irrevocable Trust and The Paul A. Vermylen, Jr. 2015 Irrevocable Trust held a pecuniary interest in the common units of Star Group held by Kestrel prior to the in-kind distribution.

F2: The reporting person disclaims beneficial ownership of these securities except to the extent of his pecuniary interest therein, and this report shall not be deemed an admission that the reporting person is the beneficial owner of the securities for Section 16 or any other purpose.

F3: These securities are owned directly by The Robin C. Vermylen 2016 Irrevocable Trust. The reporting person is a trustee of the trust and the reporting person's spouse is a beneficiary of the trust. Therefore, the reporting person may be deemed to have a pecuniary interest in the securities held by the trust.

F4: These securities are owned directly by The Paul A. Vermylen, Jr. 2015 Irrevocable Trust. The reporting person is a beneficiary of the trust and is the settlor of the trust.
