Pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.14(2), Standard Chartered PLC ("the Company") announces that Mr Simon Lowth, an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, will leave AstraZeneca PLC as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") and Executive Director at the end of October 2013.  Simon has been appointed as CFO and Executive Director at BG Group plc with effect from November 2013.
