CHANGE OF SECRETARY

Pursuant to Rule 13.51(5) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, the Company announces that it has appointed Mr Clive Burns to replace Mrs Julie Bamford as Group Company Secretary of the Company with effect from 1 November 2006. Mr Burns qualified as a Chartered Secretary in England in 1986 and became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) in 1999. Mr Burns was Company Secretary of NTL Inc (formerly Telewest Communications plc and Telewest Global, Inc) from 2000 to 2006, and prior to that he held various senior company secretarial positions in other listed companies.

Mrs Julie Bamford, the Acting Group Company Secretary in the interim period, will resume her role as Deputy Group Secretary of the Company with effect from 1 November 2006.
