STADA: Acquisition of the Russian pharma group MAKIZ successfully completed

STADA has today, on August 31, 2007, successfully completed the acquisition
of the Russian pharmaceutical group MAKIZ through STADA's Russian
subsidiary Nizhpharm OAO, Nizhny Novgorod, after all contractual agreements
necessary for the completion of the acquisition had been implemented (see
ad hoc release from August 3, 2007, published via the DGAP). The takeover
occurred through the purchase of respectively 100% of the shares in the
companies ZAO-MAKIZ Pharma, ZAO Skopinpharm and ZAO Biodyne
Pharmaceuticals.

The MAKIZ Group will be consolidated in the STADA Group as of September 1,
2007.
