Meekatharra - Polelle Joint Venture Kanji and Miniritchie gold prospects

Momentum at the Polelle JV

(St Barbara managed - Elara Mining Limited funded), located 14 kilometres from the Company CIP treatment plant, accelerated with confirmation of further significant results at Kanji.

Of the initial 44 vertical aircore holes (2,164 metres) drilled in the ongoing (25,000 metre) drill programme within the Polelle Joint Venture, 14 were completed as in-fill and extension holes on the Kanji Prospect.

Significant intercepts included 1 metre at 3.24 g/t in a quartz vein at end of hole in REGA0956 and 4 metres at 1.39 g/t in REGA0977 which extended the known anomaly a further 150 metres.

At Miniritchie in-fill drilling has been completed. Results are pending.

This has closed the drill spacing to $100 \times 50$ or $25$ metres defining a 900 x 150 metre gold anomalous zone at Kanii and, from available results, a 600 x 150 metre zone at Miniritchie.

Initial RC drill testing is planned for May/June 2004.

The Kanji (900 metre strike) and adjacent Miniritchie prospects (600 metre strike) and the Mulla Mulla deposit, 6 kilometres north, represent a significant potential resource inventory for inclusion in future mine planning.
