Further discussions regarding consolidation of the Leonora Province

St Barbara Limited (ASX:SBM) (“ St Barbara ”) refers to the trading halt and ASX announcement by Red 5 Limited (ASX:RED) (“ Red 5 ”) today and a Red 5 presentation circulating in the market relating to its capital raising which includes commentary that Red 5 and St Barbara have entered into discussions.

In previous presentations Craig Jetson, Managing Director and CEO, has referred to discussions with multiple other parties in the Leonora region[1] . St Barbara confirms these discussions with Red 5 are one of those discussions with operators in the region regarding a potential business combination or combinations aimed at consolidation of the Leonora Province and the unlocking of operating and development synergies in the region.

The discussions with Red 5 are very preliminary in nature and are incomplete with no agreement or understanding between the parties regarding the terms of any combination, nor is there any certainty of any agreement being reached.
