The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– SALES IN APRIL AND MAY UP BY 18% ON AVERAGE OVER 2001 AND 80% OVER JANUARY AND FEBRUARY 2002 – SALES AND EBIT-MARGIN OF 2002 EXPECTED AT THE LEVEL OF THE PRECEDING YEAR Linz, June 5, 2002. As a result of successful internationalisation and the introduction of new product lines such as the impact- and water-resistant X5 Outdoor Notebook, GERICOM AG, which is listed on the New Market, achieved sales growth of 16.7% in April and of 19.8% in May compared to the corresponding months of the preceding year. Despite the very positive development in the second quarter, the Management Board of GERICOM now assumes, that the decline in sales of the 1st quarter cannot be fully made up and expects sales and EBIT-margin of 2002 at the level of the preceding year. The foundations for further growth will be laid and the year 2002 will now be used for consolidation. GERICOM will implement a new goods administration system. On the product side, a range of innovations like a LCD-PC is planned for the coming months.
