Notification of transactions by a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") 

The Company has been notified that on 25 February 2022 the person set out in the table below, being a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility (a "PDMR"), was granted an award under the Company's Deferred Bonus Share Plan (the "DBSP") and an award under the Company's Restricted Share Plan (the "RSP") (together the "Awards") to acquire, in aggregate, 81,545 ordinary shares of 117/200 pence each in the capital of the Company (the "Shares").

The number of Shares subject to the Awards has been determined by reference to the closing price of the Company's Shares on the day before the Awards were granted, being £2.6910 per Share.

The DBSP Award has been granted in connection with the deferral of 100% of the PDMR's bonus for the financial year ended 30 September 2021.  The Shares are subject to a three-year holding period from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2024 and will be released on 30 September 2024.

The RSP Award has been granted subject to the satisfaction of performance underpins measured over a three-year period from 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2024.  Following vesting, the Shares under the RSP Award will be subject to a two-year holding period.

The relevant notifications set out below are provided in accordance with the requirements of Article 19 of the UK version of the EU Market Abuse Regulation which is part of UK law by virtue of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018.
