SSE (the "Company") announces that application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the listing of, and to the London Stock Exchange for the admission of, a total of 1,172,973 ordinary shares.   Expected admission date 18 March 2016.

The total of 1,172,973 will be issued pursuant to the allotment of shares under the Company's Scrip Dividend Scheme in respect of the interim dividend for the year ended 31 March 2016.

The above shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the Company's existing issued ordinary shares.
