ADDITIONAL LISTING

SSE (the "Company") announces that application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the listing of, and to the London Stock Exchange for the admission of, a total of 13,275,764 ordinary shares.   Expected admission date 18 September 2015.

Of these 13,275,764 ordinary shares, a total of 10,600,639 will be issued pursuant to the allotment of shares under the Company's Scrip Dividend Scheme in respect of the final dividend for the year ended 31 March 2015.

The Block Listing of the remaining 2,675,125 ordinary shares is required to satisfy allotments of shares under the Company's SAYE Sharesave Scheme. 

The above shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the Company's existing issued ordinary shares.
