PUBLICATION OF A SUPPLEMENTARY PROSPECTUS TO THE PROSPECTUS DATED 2 AUGUST 2013

SSE plc, Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution plc, Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc and Southern Electric Power Distribution plc have published a Supplementary Prospectus (the "Supplementary Prospectus") dated 28 November 2013 to the Prospectus dated 2 August 2013 in respect of their €10,000,000,000 Euro Medium Term Note Programme and the publication on 13 November 2013 of the financial report for the six months to 30 September 2013 for SSE plc (the "Half Year Report"). The Supplementary Prospectus has been approved by the UKLA on 28 November 2013.
