SSE announces its timetable in relation to the proposed final dividend of 59.0p per ordinary share for the year ended 31 March 2013.

Shareholders holding shares in certificated form who wish to participate in the Scrip Dividend Scheme should return their mandate forms (available from SSE's website, www.sse.com) to Capita Registrars so as to arrive no later than 30 August 2013.

Shareholders holding shares in certificated form who wish to withdraw from the Scrip Dividend Scheme should submit their written request to withdraw to Capita Registrars so as to arrive no later than 30 August 2013.

Shareholders who hold their shares in uncertificated form should consult their Crest sponsors as appropriate.
