INTERIM DIVIDEND FOR THE YEAR ENDING 31 MARCH 2013

On 22 March 2013 SSE plc (the Company) was notified by Capita Registrars, the Company's Registrar, of the following acquisitions of ordinary shares, pursuant to participation in the Company's Scrip Dividend Scheme in respect of the interim dividend for the year ending 31 March 2013.  

These shares were allotted with effect from 22 March 2013.  The relevant Scrip Reference Price was 1,393 pence per share.
