TRADING HALT
The securities of Global Construction Services Limited (the "Company") will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday, 5 September 2012.

Global Construction Services Limited - Trading Halt Request
Request for Trading Halt
Pursuant to Listing Rule 17.1, Global Construction Services Limited (Global Construction Services) requests a trading halt in its ordinary shares (ASX code: GCS) from the commencement of trading today, 3 September 2012.
In accordance with Listing Rule 17.1, we advise that:
- the trading halt is requested pending an announcement by Global Construction Services in $(a)$ relation to a potential capital raising involving institutional and retail investors (Offer) to be announced today;
- $(b)$ Global Construction Services requests that the trading halt remain in place until the earlier of the time Global Construction Services makes an announcement to the market in relation to the outcome of the institutional component of the Offer and the commencement of trading on 5 September 2012; and
- $(c)$ Global Construction Services is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted or of any other information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.
