GCS Completes Acquisition of Coastal Hire

Construction services group Global Construction Services (ASX: GCS, “GCS Group”) is pleased to announce that it has settled on the acquisition of a 75% interest in hire and sales provider Coastal Hire Pty Ltd (Coastal).

Total consideration for the 75% stake in Coastal was $4.5 million. The purchase price of the 25% balance is subject to the continued earnings performance of Coastal.

The acquisition, which was effective from 1 July, is expected to be earnings accretive in its first full year under GCS Group ownership and was debt funded.

GCS Group is also pleased to announce that David Kiggins commenced as Chief Financial Officer on 1 September 2008.

GCS Group Managing Director Enzo Gullotti welcomed Mr Kiggins to the Company.

“David’s experience in the listed market, particularly business development, will be invaluable as GCS Group continues to grow,” said Mr Gullotti.
