GCS GAINS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

  • Executive Director moves to Non-Executive Role

Construction services group Global Construction Services Limited (ASX: GCS, “GCS Group”) is pleased to announce Mr Michael Sertorio will today become a Non-Executive Director of GCS Group following completion of his Executive Services Agreement.

Michael Sertorio joined the GCS Group as an Executive Director in July 2011. Mr Sertorio was one of the original vendors of GCS Group’s acquired labour hire company Global Industrial Services (Aust) Pty Ltd (GIS) and was instrumental in facilitating the integration of GIS and adding strategic depth to the GCS Group Board.

“Michael’s full time contribution over the past year has been invaluable, I am pleased he will continue in a Non-Executive capacity, strengthening the governance and composition of the Board,” said GCS Group Chairman Mr Peter Wade.

Mr Sertorio holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial Relations and Politics and brings over 20 years of senior management and board experience across a range of industries and institutions including Chase Manhattan Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Orica Ltd (formerly ICI Australia Ltd) and MLC.

Mr Sertorio currently serves on the board of a number of private companies in addition to GCS Group and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
