GCS APPOINTS DIRECTOR, KEY EXECUTIVES

Construction services group Global Construction Services Limited (ASX: GCS, “GCS Group”) is pleased to announce a number of key appointments to its board and executive team, following the recent acquisition of Global Industrial Services (GIS). The key appointments fulfil an integral piece in GCS Group’s strategy of becoming an integrated service provider to key major clients.

Mr Mike Sertorio has been appointed to the board of GCS as an Executive Director effective 5 July 2011.

Mr Sertorio holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial Relations and Politics and brings over 20 years of senior management and board experience across a range of industries and institutions including Chase Manhattan Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Orica Ltd (formerly ICI Australia Ltd) and MLC.

Mr Sertorio currently serves on the board of a number of private companies and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

“Mr Sertorio brings an invaluable depth of experience and we look forward to the strategic contribution he will make to the GCS board,” said GCS Group Managing Director, Mr Enzo Gullotti.

GCS Group is also pleased to announce the key executive appointments of Mr. Raul Used as Managing Director GCS and Mr. Graeme Hearn as Managing Director GIS.

Mr Used, holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Construction) degree and has attained over 20 years experience in large scale management and project engineering in the building, civil infrastructure and resources sector. Mr Used has held senior management engineering roles with a number of Australia’s blue chip construction organisations throughout Western Australia and South-East Asia.

Mr Used will take charge of the day to day running of the group’s key divisions, offering the provision of formwork and concrete installation, scaffold, material hoists, temporary site accommodation, general plant hire, temporary fencing and related labour, delivery and design services to customers in the Commercial, Residential and Resource and Industrial Services sectors.

“GCS is delighted to have attracted an executive of Mr Used’s calibre. Mr Used will bring valuable experience and skills to the group and we look forward to his contribution in the future growth of key GCS’s businesses,” said Mr Gullotti.

Mr Used will formally commence his role with GCS on 18 July 2011.

Following GCS Group’s acquisition of GIS, Mr Graeme Hearn will continue in the role of Managing Director GIS. Mr Hearn’s appointment was effective 3 June 2011.

Mr Hearn, a founder of GIS, has over 30 years experience in the large scale management of specialized labour hire and related services businesses. Mr Hearn has in-depth knowledge and capability in providing trade and skilled labour hire, access management and industrial services solutions to a range of customers in the Commercial, Resource and Industrial and Services sectors.

“Mr Hearn has guided the outstanding growth of GIS and GCS is pleased to have this accomplished executive leading this key GCS Group division,” said Mr Gullotti.
