SPRINTEX APPOINTS CEO

Sprintex Limited (ASX Code: SIX) (Company) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Tyrone Jones as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 3 July 2017. Mr David White, who assumed the role as acting CEO in December 2013, will remain with the Company as Deputy Chairman.

Chairman, Richard Siemens said, “Tyrone Jones has a proven track record in driving growth in Sprintex and his global experience will be invaluable to the Company as we seek to develop the Company further. On behalf of the Board, I would like to extend my congratulations to Tyrone on accepting this appointment and we look forward to his contribution to the Company on many levels”.

“David White has done a wonderful job for us in his role of acting CEO and I am pleased that he remains with the Company in his role as Deputy Chairman”.

A summary of Mr Jones’s experience and qualifications is set out below.

Mr Jones joined the Sprintex Senior Management team in 2014, from a background of mechanical engineering followed by 16 years as an aircraft engineer with GE Aviation. Prior to joining Sprintex, Mr Jones was the Business Leader with GE Aviation On Wing Support in the Middle East and Africa with responsibility for deploying teams to repair aircraft engines across the globe. While in Qatar, Mr Jones was also instrumental in setting up and establishing a quality repair facility under FAR145 lean and introduced Six Sigma and process improvement with the view to 100% customer satisfaction by improving efficiency and quality. This had followed on from supporting the setup of facilities in Xiamen, China and Budapest, Hungary during his time with GE.

A summary of the key terms to the employment agreement with Mr Jones is set out in the Appendix to this announcement.

APPENDIX

Summary of terms of Mr Jones’ employment as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Mr Jones’ existing employment arrangements continue and a summary of the key terms of the Agreement is as follows:

Term – No fixed term. 4 weeks written notice by either party.

Remuneration – AUD$324,000 per annum

Benefits – Provision of accommodation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (approx. RM9,000 per month); Use of Company vehicle while in Malaysia.

Base office – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
