polyband and BBC Worldwide to collaborate in Benelux countries too
(Munich/Cologne – 22.05.2013) – BBC Worldwide and polyband Medien GmbH, a subsidiary of Splendid Medien AG, are to extend their longstanding successful collaboration to include the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
In the future, polyband will also distribute selected BBC Worldwide content exclusively in the Benelux countries. Initial projects will include the science and history documentaries ‘ Rise of the Continents ‘ and ‘ Pompeii – Secrets of the Petrified Bodies ‘ and the dramedy series ‘A Young Doctor’s Notebook ‘ starring Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe. The team led by Andrew Ernster, who in the past five years has successfully established the Benelux business of Splendid Film, will take responsibility for the local sales organisation.

BBC Worldwide and polyband have been working together since 2000 in various territories with polyband distributing a wide range of very successful titles including ‘ Planet Earth ‘, ‘ Sherlock ‘, ‘ Little Britain ‘, ‘ Doctor Who ‘ and ‘ Frozen Planet ‘.
