RESIGNATION OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

London, UK - 7 August 2015: Spirent Communications plc ("Spirent", the "Company" or the "Group") (LSE: SPT), a leading communications technology company, today announces that Ian Brindle will be stepping down from the Board with immediate effect.

Ian joined Spirent in December 2006 and since then has been Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee and, since 2010 has been Senior Independent Non-Executive Director. As previously announced, the role of Chairman of the Audit Committee will now be undertaken by Jonathan Silver and Sue Swenson will step into the role of Senior Independent Non-executive Director.
