Ahead of its Annual General Meeting later today, Spire Healthcare Group plc (LSE: SPI), the major UK independent hospital group, provides the following update for the period 1 January 2021 to 30 April 2021.

We are pleased with our performance in the first four months of 2021 and reiterate the guidance given at the FY20 results on 4 March 2021 that notwithstanding the various costs and uncertainty relating to the COVID pandemic the Board continues to believe that trading will return to 2019 levels in 2021.

We expect to announce our results for the six months ending 30 June on 9 September 2021.
