Change of Auditor

Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, the world leader in the control and efficient use of steam and in peristaltic pumping, announces that, in accordance with best practice, it proposes to appoint Deloitte LLP as its auditor for the year ending 31st December 2014.  The appointment follows a recommendation by the Audit Committee, based on a comprehensive and thorough competitive tender process, and is subject to shareholder approval at the 2014 Annual General Meeting. 

KPMG Audit Plc has been the Group's auditor for a considerable period and the Board would like to thank them for their contribution over the years.

We look forward to a constructive and professional relationship with Deloitte, in support of the Audit Committee's responsibility for oversight over the integrity of financial reporting.

There are no matters in connection with KPMG's prospective retirement as auditors which, in the view of the Board, need to be brought to the attention of shareholders.  In accordance with applicable legislative requirements in the United Kingdom, the Board will receive from KPMG, upon their retirement as auditors, notification of any circumstances which need to be brought to the attention of either the creditors or shareholders of the Company.
