SPIE acquires TriosGroup in the UK Total revenue acquired to date ahead of full-year target Strong short-term acquisitions pipeline

Cergy, November 7th, 2016SPIE, the independent European leader in electrical and mechanical engineering, HVAC services and energy and communication systems, announces the acquisition of TriosGroup, a British provider of facility and property related technical services with annual revenue over £60 million.

This 7th acquisition to date brings total revenue acquired in 2016 to more than €210 million, ahead of SPIE's stated target of €200 million for the full year. The acquisition of TriosGroup significantly enhances SPIE's capabilities in the UK technical facility management market and reinforces its geographical presence and density. It will be accretive as soon as 2016 and is expected to deliver returns in line with SPIE's proven bolt-on acquisitions track record.

Commenting on the acquisition, Gauthier Louette, SPIE Chairman and CEO, stated: 'With this significant strategic acquisition in the UK, we are already ahead of our full year target for quasi-organic growth from bolt-on acquisitions. With an active pipeline, we expect to complete further acquisitions in the short-term. Capitalising on our long-term external growth expertise and execution capabilities, we are well poised to deliver strongly on our M&A strategy, which is a powerful driving force of SPIE's growth model in highly fragmented markets.'

Originating from a family-owned business established in 1919, TriosGroup has grown into a UK national provider of technical facilities maintenance services operating in a broad range of sectors, including commercial, health, leisure and retail. With approximately 690 employees across five regional offices, TriosGroup will significantly strengthen SPIE's geographical footprint in the UK, particularly in the central part of the country.

Benefitting from a long-lasting local presence, SPIE is successfully deploying its model in the UK and managed to grow its revenue in the country by over 40% in the past 3 years.
