Appointment of Russell Down as Group Finance Director

9th January 2015

The Board of Speedy is pleased to announce that Russell Down will join the Board with effect from 6 April 2015 and assume the role of Group Finance Director from the same date.

Russell has been Group Finance Director since 2008 at Hyder Consulting Plc ("Hyder"), the multinational design and engineering consultancy, which was recently acquired by Arcadis N.V. He spent 17 years in all at Hyder, including five years as Group Financial Controller.

Russell is a chartered accountant having qualified with KPMG, and has previously worked for container leasing company Cronos as Director of Accounting.

Mark Rogerson, Chief Executive Officer, commented:

"We are delighted that Russell is joining us.  He has a strong financial and commercial track record and in depth experience of working in a PLC environment.  Speedy will benefit from his highly analytical and focussed approach and I very much look forward to working with him."
