Purchase of own shares

Spectris announces that on 25 August 2023 it purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 5p each on the London Stock Exchange and other recognised investment exchanges from Merrill Lynch International as part of the buyback programme announced on 01 August 2023.

Spectris intends to cancel the purchased shares.

As at the date of the above purchase, Spectris had 103,455,047 ordinary shares of 5p each in issue (excluding 4,171,801 ordinary shares of 5p each held in treasury). This number represents the total voting rights in Spectris and may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Spectris under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
