The Food Revolution Group commences trading on the ASX
The Food Revolution Group Limited (ASX: FOD, “the Company”) will commence trading on the Australian Securities Exchange (“ASX”) today at 10am after raising $12 million in a heavily oversubscribed offering as part of the reverse takeover (“RTO”) by LangTech International Pty Ltd (“LangTech”) of Crest Minerals Limited.
The successful issue of 120 million shares in The Food Revolution Group Limited at $0.10 per share was raised at an implied (undiluted) market capitalisation of $29.4 million.
The Food Revolution Group Limited is a food and beverage manufacturing company with operations in Mill Park, Victoria and New Zealand. It manufactures superior quality juices, fibres, infused fruits, fruit waters and bioactives for sale as branded products and ingredients into the international food, beverage and nutraceutical markets.
Target Markets
The Food Revolution Group Limited’s mission is to generate shareholder value by manufacturing high health food and beverage products in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (“FMCG”) sector in Australia and in key international target markets, such as China, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as a provider of naturally functional products.
“We see a significant opportunity to build on the foundations established by LangTech to capitalise on the high growth in the functional food, beverage and nutraceutical markets, both in Australia and internationally,” Chief Executive Officer Bill Nikolovski said.
“We are soon to expand our portfolio of branded products and have a number of new products under development which we expect to come on stream in the next few months.”
International Expansion
The Food Revolution Group Limited has developed strategic relationships with Chinese partners with existing channels to market in China. In particular, The Food Revolution Group Limited expects its relationship with newly-appointed Director, Hong Wang, to play an important role in the Company’s future growth in China.
“We have been building relationships with strategic partners in China who have existing channels to market which we expect will provide us with significant opportunity for international growth,” Mr Nikolovski said.
“It is very pleasing that a number of highly regarded global fund managers, as well as strategic Chinese investors, are on the Company’s register, who clearly recognise the opportunity for the Company’s functional food and beverage products to be sold into Asia.”
Unique Technology
The Food Revolution Group Limited, via LangTech, developed its unique Counter Current Extraction (“CCE”) technology in conjunction with CSIRO and later cranberry producer manufacturer Ocean Spray. LangTech technology comprises a suite of innovative proprietary water, energy, and waste efficient technologies and know-how for the processing of fruit and vegetables.
Proceeds from the $12m capital raising will be primarily directed to accelerate growth by funding the Company’s expansion and launch of its range of functional food, beverage and nutraceutical branded products domestically and into the Chinese market, as well as reducing debt.
