Plans for FOD to further enhance product range and distribution channels over the next six months
The Food Revolution Group Limited (ASX: FOD, “the Company”) is pleased to announce it has achieved more than $1 million of revenue per month for three consecutive months (April 2016 to June 2016) from sales of its branded products in major Australian supermarkets channels.
The product sales have generated an average gross margin of more than 35 per cent. FOD has spent less than $2 million marketing the products, the majority of which were launched in recent months.
FOD’s Chief Executive Officer, Bill Nikolovski, said the revenue generated by the Company’s new product range was very pleasing.
“We worked hard to create a range of products that we believed would be in demand by consumers, and the sales that we have generated over the first three months since launching them demonstrates that this has been successful,” he said.
“Our budget on marketing for these new products since launching them has been kept quite low, so to achieve these results is doubly pleasing.”
The growth in revenue follows the Company’s moves earlier this year to extend its product range and strengthen distribution via agreements with major retailers including Woolworths, Coles and other key Australian distributors.
FOD products are now available through more than 2,000 outlets in Australia. Sales from the above expanded product range alone are expected to be more than $15 million per year (in addition to sales from FOD’s existing business).
Mr Nikolovski said FOD expected to further grow its product lines and was in discussions with additional distributors as it looks to strengthen its sales position.
“We have made great progress since our listing on the ASX earlier this year but we are keen to capitalise on what is clearly a growth opportunity for the products we produce, both in Australia as well as in international markets such as China,” he said.
FOD’s strong performance has met the milestones for conversion of the 61,471,049 A Class Performance Shares on issue and the 18,528,951 A Class Performance Rights on issue. These shares and rights have converted into 80,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company. A separate Appendix 3B will be released shortly in this respect.
FOD is a food and beverage processing company with operations in Mill Park, Victoria and New Zealand. It manufactures superior quality juices, fibres, infused fruits, fruit waters and bioactives for sale as branded products and ingredients into the international food, beverage and nutraceutical markets.
The Company is primarily involved in food and beverage processing in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector for customers in Australia and key international target markets, including China, as a provider of naturally functional products.
