Food and beverage processing company The Food Revolution Group (ASX: FOD) (“FOD” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce it has signed a deal with ALDI supermarkets that will see it commence production of a two-litre orange juice product for sale in stores in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia from 28 November 2016.

In addition, the Company has significantly boosted its distribution network with several new agreements.

FOD has signed a distribution deal with Botany International Foods (“Botany”) which will see its products distributed in up to 600 independent stores in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

Botany has a distribution network of more than 200 independent stores in each of the three states, including Ritchies and IGA supermarkets.

FOD has signed a separate distribution agreement with Our United Foods to distribute FOD products in more than 300 stores in South Australia and 150 stores in Queensland.

FOD products will also be available in the “Grab and Go” section of 100 Coles Express stores from February 2017, with the products to be rolled out in further stores throughout the year.

FOD Chief Executive Bill Nikolovski said the deal with ALDI was significant.

“This is an important first step for us to build a relationship with ALDI, which has 400 stores across Australia and continues to grow its chain,” he said.

“We are also really pleased with the outcome of our negotiations with our new distributors Botany International Foods and Our United Foods, which will create more awareness and availability of our products in more independent Australian stores.

“We have already established strong relationships with major supermarkets Coles and Woolworths, having launched several new product lines through them in the first half of 2016, however this will grow further with our new deal with Coles Express.”
