The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– SPARTA AG disposes of equity interest in pre-IPO AG Hamburg, November 28, 2001. Hamburg-based SPARTA AG (German securities code (WKN) 724 520) and other synergy investors have sold their majority interests of 53 % and 25 % respectively in pre-IPO AG, Hamburg, to Nordcapital Holding GmbH, Hamburg. All parties have agreed not to disclose further details of the contract. In selling pre-IPO AG, SPARTA AG is underlining its systematic withdrawal from its pre-IPO investment activities while concentrating exclusively on its core business. As a result of this transaction, SPARTA AG reduced the number of companies in its pre-IPO portfolio to four. The Managing Board SPARTA AG is an investment house comprising the Corporate Finance and Value Investments business units as well as investments in second-tier stocks listed in Germany and Switzerland. SPARTA has also established itself as a market leader in Germany for the acquisition and restructuring of listed public shell companies. SPARTA is a major shareholder in the listed companies Deutsche Balaton AG (42 %) and in the unlisted company FALKENSTEIN Nebenwerte AG (71 %).
