Spacetalk Adventurer receives Full Telstra Technical Approval

Highlights

Spacetalk Ltd. (ASX:SPA) (“Spacetalk” or “Company”), developer of innovative technologies that keep families safe and connected, is pleased to announce that Spacetalk Adventurer has received Full Technical Approval from Telstra, Australia’s leading telecommunications and technology company.

Telstra’s Technical Approval of Adventurer marks the completion of exhaustive device testing, ensuring Adventurer is optimally configured for Telstra Australia’s network frequency bands.

Telstra is Australia’s largest Mobile Network Operator, with a market-leading 19 million retail mobile services, the largest footprint of company branded bricks and mortar retail stores in Australia, and a strong online retail presence.

Spacetalk Adventurer will be placed on Telstra’s core wearables device range, with the launch planned for 13 April 2021. Telstra will range Spacetalk Adventurer across its entire retail store network in Australia and Telstra online channels.

Spacetalk Adventurer devices will initially be available for outright purchase or on a Telstra hardware repayment option where Telstra customers with a new or existing Telstra service (mobile plan, ADSL, NBN) can add a Spacetalk device to their Telstra account and pay for the Spacetalk devices on their bill over 12 or 24 months.

Telstra is working with Spacetalk towards building a compelling monthly SIM service plan specifically for Spacetalk devices which will simplify the offering for Spacetalk customers and allow Telstra to add new mobile service subscribers to their network.

Spacetalk CEO Mark Fortunatow said: “Spacetalk Adventurer is a huge advancement for the kids connected wearables category, incorporating major design, hardware and software engineering breakthroughs and enhancements into a high-quality device. Telstra’s exhaustive process of device testing is a very strong endorsement of the quality of Spacetalk Adventurer and ensures customers will benefit from the product being optimally configured for Telstra Australia’s network frequency bands.”
