Virgin Mobile to sell Spacetalk devices in the UK

Highlights

• Virgin Mobile has entered into a commercial arrangement to range Spacetalk Adventurer in the UK

• Target launch is July 2021

• Adventurer will be available from Virgin Mobile on a range of pay monthly SIM plans, with costs spread over a 24- or 36-month contract

• Signals a further expansion of Spacetalk products into global markets

Spacetalk Ltd. (ASX:SPA) (“Spacetalk” or “Company”), developer of innovative technologies that keep families safe and connected, is pleased to announce that Virgin Mobile has entered into a commercial arrangement with Spacetalk’s UK distributor whereby Spacetalk will supply Virgin Mobile inventory through the distributor.

Virgin Mobile, part of Virgin Media, launched in 1999 as the world's first Mobile Virtual Network Operator (“MVNO”) and today offers a range of flexible mobile plans and devices alongside TV, broadband and home phone services in the UK. MVNOs are a growing part of the mobile phone industry globally, capturing market share by targeting more affordable and flexible offerings than major carriers; achieving this by purchasing minutes, messages and data at wholesale prices, but not operating the network infrastructure or retail stores.

Target launch is in July 2021.

Adventurer will be available as part of Virgin Mobile’s core wearables device range, via its ecommerce and online presence.

Virgin Mobile is working with Spacetalk to grow the smartphone watch category for kids, with the go-to-market strategy to include PR, marketing and targeted promotions.

Adventurer will be available from Virgin Mobile on a range of flexible pay monthly SIM plans, with costs payable over a 24- or 36-month period.

The financial impact of selling through Virgin Mobile is currently unknown, with no guaranteed or minimum level of revenue, however, the Company expects it to have a direct positive impact on the total revenue of the Company and be reflected in the disclosure thereof.
