MGM WIRELESS EARNINGS GUIDANCE

MGM Wireless (ASX:MWR) advises that the company’s financial performance in the June 2013 quarter was much better than expected when earnings guidance was provided in May 2013.

There were a number of factors that contributed to this favourable outcome including stronger than anticipated new school signings and sales of SMS message credits in May and June as well as a higher than expected R&D tax offset rebate.

On 8 May 2013, the company issued earnings guidance that the 2012-13 profit would be in the order of 15% below the prior year’s record of $603K. Although subject to final audit, 2012-13 profit is now expected to be approximately 15% ahead of last year’s result.
