ASX Announcement Spacetalk Ltd. (ASX:SPA) 28 September 2022

JumpySIM and Spacetalk Adventurer Update

Highlights

  • JumpySIM launches in Australia

  • Major Spacetalk Adventurer update

Spacetalk Ltd. (ASX:SPA) (“Spacetalk” or “Company”), developer of innovative technologies providing child safety and development tools to support wellness, is pleased to announce that JumpySIM has officially launched in Australia and a new major Spacetalk Adventurer ecosystem update will be released.

JumpySIM Australia:

Spacetalk today officially launched its JumpySIM mobile network service in Australia. JumpySIM in Australia will use part of Telstra’s 4G and 3G[1] mobile network.

From today, all sales through the Company’s Australian e-commerce store will come bundled with a JumpySIM. For the Company’s domestic retailer channels, subject to a brief period of inventory replenishment, Spacetalk Adventurer wearables will also include a JumpySIM mobile networked SIM. Spacetalk will offer 1-, 6- and 12-month plans starting from $16.99 per month. Customers will be able to receive a JumpySIM from today at www.au.jumpysim.com.

JumpySIM service subscriptions in Australia will include a free Spacetalk App subscription for Kids and Adventurer wearables. Users of other mobile services will still need to purchase a Spacetalk App subscription separately.

1 Telstra’s 3G Network (850Mhz band) will close in mid-2024.

The Company believes the inclusion of a free App subscription with JumpySIM services will significantly simplify and enhance the Spacetalk customer proposition and user experience.

JumpySIM was launched in the United States in June 2022 and the evidence to date indicates a customer experience enhancement and a high conversion of Spacetalk wearable purchases into JumpySIM subscriptions – estimated to be in excess of 80 percent to date.

JumpySIM is designed to generate new and additional recurring revenues for the Company, and it is anticipated that JumpySIM in Australia will generate a marginal additional gross margin in the order of AU$2-3 per user per month. It is also anticipated that JumpySIM will reduce churn in recurring app fee subscriptions.

Spacetalk Adventurer Update

Spacetalk also announces major new eco-system upgrade for the Spacetalk Adventurer. This upgrade will include:

  • HD Video calling;

  • Kids Wellness and Feelings;

  • Silly Sounds;

  • Wi-Fi capability; and

  • Additional languages (German, Dutch and Italian).

These advances further demonstrate Spacetalk’s leadership in the connected kids wearable segment.

This upgrade will commence global deployment in the first weeks of October 2022.
