Spacetalk appoints new VP Engineering & Head of Product to drive execution of strategic priorities

Spacetalk Limited (ASX:SPA) ("Spacetalk" or the "Company"), the developer of technology providing tools to support family safety and security at every stage of life, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie Simonsen as Spacetalk's new Vice President of Engineering and Peter Scott as their new Head of Product.

These key appointments make up the final members of Spacetalk's new leadership team to deliver the growth strategy, announced on 10 May 2023.

With an exceptional and qualified professional background as a full stack engineering architect, Jamie has over 20 years' experience in the software industry. Jamie has built a career in leading multiple engineering teams to unlock high performance and consistently deliver technologically advanced solutions within designated timelines. Jamie joins Spacetalk from serving as the Chief Technology Officer at BlueCats – a 100% Australian-owned software company specialising in digitising workflows and processes.

In his new role, Jamie will be primarily responsible for leading the Company's engineering team, overseeing the development of its products and solutions.

Peter brings with him over 18 years' experience as a leader in the Product and Strategy market and was most recently, the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Compono, a software development company that provides intelligent solutions to companies to hire, develop and engage people.

As part of Spacetalk's leadership team and in line with the new Company strategy, Jamie and Peter's priority deliverables will be progressing the development of Spacetalk's age agnostic family safety App, designed to extend the Spacetalk service to older tweens, teens and seniors. In addition, they will focus on enhancing the current Spacetalk Schools' safety and attendance platform as the Company focuses on growing this area of the business.
