Organisational update

School communication and software specialist MGM Wireless (ASX:MWR) today announced that Tara Lewis-Christie will step down as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the company.

The Board has initiated a search process for the recruitment and appointment of a General Manager to provide operational and financial leadership for MGM Wireless as it extends its mobile messaging, attendance management and community-building apps into wearable devices.

MGM Wireless CEO Mark Fortunatow acknowledged the contribution made by Ms Lewis-Christie, who joined MGM Wireless in 2010.

”In the period since Tara joined the company seven years ago, the company’s customer base has grown from approximately 400 to over 1400 schools “said Mr Fortunatow.

“Growth of that scale presents substantial organisational challenges and Tara has done an outstanding job in enabling MGM Wireless to meet those challenges and sustain its growth. She has contributed right across the business, helping the company to form close bonds with our customers, supporting our growing technical team and ensuring strong financial management.

“On behalf of the board and management of MGM, I would like to express our gratitude to Tara as she takes this next step in her career” Mr Fortunatow said.

Ms Lewis-Christie will continue to provide services and contribute to the company’s growth in a consulting capacity.

“As someone who is passionate about our industry, this was a tough decision,” Ms Lewis-Christie said. “I remain committed to serving MGM’s mission to grow through the provision of state-of-theart school communication systems, albeit in a new and different role. I would also like to thank MGM’s Board and my fellow management team for their support.”
