MGM WIRELESS APPOINTS MEDIA AND IT SPECIALIST AS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

MGM Wireless (ASX:MWR) is pleased to announce the appointment of media, marketing and IT specialist Leila Henderson as Non-Executive Director, effective immediately.

Ms Henderson is the founder of media technology business NewsMaker; a former IT and business journalist with News Limited, Fairfax Magazines and Australian Consolidated Press; and a Public Relations practitioner with significant international media and marketing experience in North America and the United Kingdom.

She is current State President for the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) in South Australia, a member of the State committee for the Australian Interactive Multimedia Industry Association (AIMIA) and a partner of the New Venture Institute at Flinders University.

Executive Chairman Mark Fortunatow said Ms Henderson’s appointment follows an extensive nationwide search.

“Leila has a unique skill set and we believe her commercial experience coupled with her skills and knowledge in the areas of public relations, communications, IT and marketing will make a significant positive contribution to MGM’s future success,” Mr Fortunatow said.

Ms Henderson said she was delighted to have the opportunity to work with a pioneer in mobile technology.

“As a mother of two, I have first-hand experience of the challenges today’s busy parents face,” Ms Henderson said. “MGM’s systems address community concerns around the issues of school attendance and student safety. I am proud to become part of the MGM board and look forward to my role.”

Ms Henderson joins Executive Directors Mark Fortunatow, Mark Hurd and Tara LewisChristie on the MGM Board.
