Item 8.01. Other Events.

On January 19, 2016, the Board of Directors of Southern Missouri Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company") declared a dividend of $0.09 per common share, payable February 29, 2016, to shareholders of record at the close of business on February 15, 2016.

In other matters, the Company expects to release its preliminary operating results for the quarter ended December 31, 2015, on January 25, 2016, and expects to host a conference call to discuss the release on January 26, 2016, at 3:30 p.m., central time. Instructions for accessing the conference call will be provided in the release.
