Services and manufacturing awards over $110m

  • Awards received totalling over $110m

  • Renewals of services agreements with Energy Queensland Limited and at Newmont Boddington gold mine

  • Trivantage Manufacturing orders for switchboards and other products

Awards

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (“SCEE Group”) is pleased to announce that its SCEE Electrical and Trivantage Manufacturing subsidiaries have received a range of awards totalling over $110m as follows:

  • SCEE Electrical has been awarded a four-year extension under its existing Services Agreement with Energy Queensland Limited (“EQL”). This marks the second renewal of the partnership, which originally commenced in 2017. Under the renewed agreement, SCEE Electrical will continue to provide comprehensive asset inspection and maintenance services across EQL’s Northern Region network. The scope of work includes inspection, testing of earths, and minor maintenance and treatment of both overhead and underground assets, ensuring the ongoing safety and reliability of EQL’s distribution and transmission infrastructure.

The service area spans approximately 800,000 square kilometres—from Flaggy Rock, south of Sarina, to the Northern Territory border, and includes the Torres Strait Islands—making it one of the largest utility service regions in Australia. SCEE Electrical’s Regional Queensland team, based in Townsville, will continue to deliver the services.

  • SCEE Electrical has been awarded a new Master Services Agreement (“MSA”) by Newmont Mining Services Pty Ltd. The agreement is for the provision of general electrical and shutdown labour support at the Newmont Boddington gold mine in Western Australia. The new MSA will commence in August 2025 and is for a term of five years. This award further strengthens SCEE Electrical’s longstanding relationship with Newmont, which now spans over thirty years. SCEE Electrical has been operating under an MSA at the Boddington site since May 2016, and this latest award marks the fourth extension of this agreement.

  • Trivantage Manufacturing has been awarded a contract by WeBuild S.P.A. (as part of the Parklife Metro JV) to supply low voltage switchboards and communications panels for the Sydney Metro

– Western Sydney Airport project, under the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (“SSTOM”) package. The scope includes the supply of over 600 units - comprising Segura modular low-voltage switchboards, custom-designed distribution boards and communications panels - for installation within the tunnels and at surface level. Manufacturing has now commenced and will be undertaken across our Sydney and Brisbane facilities, with staged deliveries scheduled through to the end of FY26.

  • Trivantage Manufacturing has been awarded a contract from FIP Electrical (NSW) Pty Ltd for the supply of main switchboards and distribution boards for a development in Sydney’s Darling Harbour precinct, to be supplied throughout FY26.

Comment

Commenting on the above, SCEE Group Managing Director Graeme Dunn said “It has been a key component of our strategy to grow the recurring revenue streams of the Group, and in that context SCEE Electrical’s renewals of its relationships with these two long-term clients is very pleasing.

I also note that in recent years the Sydney Metro development has provided strong workflows to the Group, of which this recent switchboards award to Trivantage Manufacturing is the latest example, and that we continue to position ourselves for further significant works in this major infrastructure project.”
