Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (“SCEE”) is pleased to announce a number of new awards aggregating over $30m in the commercial, telecommunications and resources sectors.

Heyday

SCEE’s East Coast-based subsidiary Heyday has been awarded the following commercial and telecommunications projects:

  • In south-west Sydney, Heyday has been appointed by the head contractor Probuild to deliver Stage 1 of Frasers Property Australia’s Edmondson Square Town Centre Mixed Use Development. The development incorporates a retail centre with approximately 90 outlets as well as approximately 300 residential apartments. Heyday’s scope of work includes the supply and installation of electrical, telecommunications, fire, security intercom and CCTV infrastructure.

  • At Eastern Creek in Sydney’s western suburbs, Hutchinson Builders has awarded Heyday the first two stages of the RUData SYD53 Data Centre. The first two stages comprise the Infrastructure and Building Shell and Core works, which include the design coordination of electrical services, coordination with pre-procured equipment suppliers and installation of HV and LV electrical infrastructure systems.

Datatel

Datatel, SCEE’s telecommunications-focused subsidiary, has recently been awarded two contracts in WA for equipment upgrades and for minor works on the NBN network.

Original SCEE

In the resources sector, the Original SCEE business has received a number of minor awards from Rio Tinto Iron Ore as it continues to work on their Electrical Infrastructure Replacement programme.
