TRADING HALT

The securities of Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (the “Company”) will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday 1 March 2017 or when the announcement is released to the market.

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (ASX: SXE) hereby requests an immediate trading halt in respect of its securities.

The trading halt is requested pending the announcement of a material acquisition.

The Company requests that the trading halt remain in place until the earlier of the time the Company makes an announcement in relation to the acquisition or the commencement of trading on 28 February 2017.

The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
