Notice of award of contract
Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (ASX: SXE) is pleased to announce it has received a Letter of Intent for the Electrical Instrumentation Installation Works for the Lake Vermont Coal Expansion Project from the Thiess Sedgman Joint Venture (TSJV).
The electrical instrumentation package of works, for the expansion of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant at Lake Vermont coal mine near Dysart in Central Queensland, has an estimated value in excess of $12m. The upgraded plant once finished is expected to produce up to 4 million tonnes of additional coal product per annum. Works for this scope are expected to start in January 2012 and finish in October 2012
SXE’s General Manager Jorn Granger said that “This award was an important milestone for our East Coast operations and we look forward to bringing our expertise and solid reputation to TSJV and the Lake Vermont Coal Expansion Project.
