Hope Downs 1 - Stage 2 Contract Win

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (ASX:SXE) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the electrical and instrumentation installation contract at Hope Downs South. Work on this contract is expected to commence during July 2008 and be complete during the first half of FY09.

As a result of winning this contract and its existing order book, SXE has contracted revenue of more than $70 million for FY09 which is a record start to a financial year for the Company. The strong start to the FY09 contracted revenue combined with the infrastructure investment taking place in the resources sector places SXE in a strong position to achieve its FY09 revenue target of at least $120m.
