Appointment of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (ASX: SXE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Stephen Fewster as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. Mr Fewster will commence with the Company on 3 March 2008. This fulfils the Company’s intention, as stated in its recent prospectus, to appoint a CFO with listed public company experience.

SCEE’s Executive Chairman Frank Tomasi said he was “delighted to secure the services of an experienced and proven CFO”, adding “Steve’s background in corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions, coupled with proven team-management skills and a successful track record in generating results for shareholders, made him the standout selection for this Company. Steve joins SCEE from iiNet Limited, where he held the CFO and Company Secretary roles since 2005. Prior to joining iiNet, Steve worked with Ernst & Young in the corporate finance group. Steve is a member of the Consultative Committee for the School of Accounting for Edith Cowan University, and is a past assessor for the Securities Institute of Australia.

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited was established in 1978, and listed its shares on the ASX on 28 November 2007, at a closing price of $1.60, a premium of 60% to the IPO price of $1.00.
