Proposed Board Change

Sound Energy, the African and European focused upstream gas company, announces that the board of directors of the Company intends to appoint Brian Mitchener, Sound Energy's Executive Vice President of Exploration, to the Sound Energy board of directors as Exploration Director. A further announcement in relation to the proposed appointment of Mr. Mitchener as a director of the Company will be made in due course.
