Sonae SGPS, SA ("Sonae") hereby announces an internal leadership reorganization aligned with its strategic commitment to talent development and value creation across the Group.

João Günther Amaral has assumed the role of Chief Executive Office of Bright Pixel, a Sonae company that operates as a specialized investor in areas such as retail technology, digital infrastructure and cybersecurity. As a result, João Günther Amaral, has formally submitted his resignation as Executive Director of Sonae SGPS, effective today.

Also today, at a meeting of the Board of Directors, Eduardo Humberto Santos Piedade was unanimously co-opted as Sonae's Executive Director (Chief Development Officer), with immediate effect. In turn and as part of this leadership transition, Eduardo Piedade has resigned from his role as CEO at Bright Pixel.

This leadership swap is in line with Sonae's strategic guidelines to leverage talent across the group, bringing new perspectives to roles and key leadership positions, and contributing to greater innovation and dynamism in the way the company operates.

Sonae expresses its appreciation to João Amaral for his outstanding contribution during his tenure and wishes him success in his new role, confident that he will continue to contribute to the Group's overall strategy and performance. The company also welcomes Eduardo Piedade to his new position, and expresses full confidence in his ability to contribute to the sustained development of the Group.
