SOMEC: US SUBSIDIARY FABBRICA WINS A NEW CONTRACT WORTH 29 MILLION DOLLARS

Fabbrica, part of the Horizons division, awarded contract to build façade of hospital in Hartford, Connecticut

San Vendemiano (Treviso), 10 November 2025 – Somec S.p.A. (Euronext Milan: SOM), specialising in the design, production and installation of complex turnkey civil and naval projects, has announced that its US subsidiary Fabbrica LLC — which is part of the Horizons, Engineered Systems for Naval Architecture and Building Façades division — has won a contract for the construction of the façade of a healthcare facility in Hartford, Connecticut (USA).

The contract value totals 29 million dollars, with expected economic impact between the second half of 2026 and 2027.

The project covers a nine-story building within a renowned healthcare complex that has been at the forefront of training, research, and advanced surgical care for over a century. Recognised as a cornerstone of both Hartford and the state of Connecticut, the complex is a symbol of medical excellence and innovation

Specifically, Fabbrica will design a bespoke curtain wall system spanning over 11,000 square metres. Distinguished by its advanced technical specifications and striking architectural design, the system will encompass every phase, from initial design to full engineering implementation. The project is scheduled for completion within the two-year period 2026–2027.
