SOMEC: OXIN WINS OVER 33 MILLION EURO IN CONTRACTS FOR PROFESSIONAL KITCHENS FOR NEW CRUISE SHIPS

The subsidiary specialising in on-board kitchen systems has been awarded major projects for the company Crystal Cruises

San Vendemiano (Treviso), 01 April 2025 – Somec S.p.A. (Euronext Milan: SOM), specialising in the design, production and installation of complex turnkey civil and naval projects, has announced that its subsidiary Oxin, part of the Talenta BU, Professional Kitchen Systems and Products, has won major contracts totalling 33.7 million Euro approximately.

The contracts cover the construction of three ships, one of which under option, for the company Crystal Cruises. More specifically, the company will be involved in the construction of the galleys, catering areas and bars on board the new Crystal ships at major Italian shipyards, providing a Made in Italy turnkey package that includes all phases of the project: design, production, installation, and after-sales assistance on all the areas supplied. The ships are designed to offer a luxury five-star experience, including in terms of catering, ensuring the highest quality standards.

The economic effect of these contracts will be spread over the period between 2026 and 2031.
