REC Solar ASA appoints Mr. Martin Cooper as Interim CEO

Oslo, June 25, 2014: The Board of Directors of REC Solar ASA is pleased to

announce the appointment of Mr. Martin Cooper as Interim CEO with effect from

July 1, 2014. Mr Øyvind Hasaas' last day as CEO of REC Solar ASA will be on June

30, 2014.

Martin is currently the CFO of REC and is a Chartered Accountant with a MBA from

Henley Management College, Oxfordshire, England. He has been with REC since July

2013. Prior to joining REC, he has worked many years as the CFO for publicly

listed companies in diverse international industries.

The chairman of the board, Mr. Ole Enger, said: "As Interim CEO, Martin's task

is to continue to build on the foundation that Øyvind has established. He will

lead the current REC Solar management team and continue the momentum for growth

and profitability"
