On December 11, 2013, Software AG was notified by Alken Luxembourg S.A. and
Alken Fund SICAV, Luxembourg, Luxembourg, pursuant to section 21 para. 1
WpHG of the following:

a) On December 10, 2013, the voting rigths held by Alken Luxembourg S.A.,
Luxembourg, Luxembourg have fallen below the threshold of 3% of the Voting
Rights via shares in Software AG, Uhlandstrasse 12, Darmstadt, Deutschland,
and on that day amounted to 2.96% (this corresponds to 2577493 voting
rights)

According to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 of the WpHG, 2.96% of
the voting rights (this corresponds to 2577493 voting rights) is to be
attributed to Alken Luxembourg S.A.

b) On December 10, 2013, the voting rights held by Alken Fund SICAV,
Luxembourg, Luxembourg, have fallen below the threshold of 3% of the voting
rights via shares in Software AG, Uhlandstrasse 12, 64297 Darmstadt,
Germany, and on that day amounted to 2.96% (this corresponds to 2577493
voting rights).
