Der italienische Markt ist im Bereich der Industriellen Automatisierung nach dem deutschen der zweitgrößte in Europa. Mit der lokalen Basis in Italien unterstreicht Softing seinen Anspruch als globaler Keyplayer in Industrial Automation und dem Produkt 4CONTROL. Die Gründung der Tochter Softing Industrial Solutions Italia S.R.L. ist für die Softing AG der erste wichtige Schritt nach dem Börsengang Mitte Mai von der internationalen Technologieführerschaft bei internetbasierten PC-Steuerungen zur Marktführerschaft. Für die Niederlassung konnte hochqualifiziertes Personal mit langjähriger Berufserfahrung gewonnen werden. Renato Uggeri, bisher bei Endress + Hauser Italia übernimmt die Position des Managing Directors, Luca Marani und Paolo Comai, bisher bei Matsushita Italia sind für Vertrieb und Support zuständig. Die operative Geschäftsaufnahme erfolgt am 01.07.2000. Die Softing AG ist mit 80 % bei der neuen Tochter beteiligt, 20 % hält das lokale Management. Aufgabe ist, Vertrieb und Produktsupport in den Geschäftsbereichen Industrial Communication, internetbasierter Automatisierung und Softwaretools für die Automatisierung stark auszubauen. Ziel ist, bis Ende 2000 sich am italienischen Markt mit dem weltweit technologisch führenden Produkt 4CONTROL zu etablieren. Bereits für 2002 rechnet die Softing AG für ihre italienische Tochter bei einem positiven Ergebnis mit einem Umsatz von 2 Mio. EUR. Softing AG Starts Up Subsidiary in Verona (Italy) Softing AG, a worldwide leading manufacturer of software and hardware for control and communication technology in the areas of automotive electronics and industrial automation, is starting up a subsidiary Softing Industrial Solutions Italia S.R.L. in Verona, Italy. The Italian market is the second-largest in Europe, behind Germany, in the area of industrial automation. With the flotation of the subsidiary Softing Industrial Solutions Italia S.R.L., Softing AG has made the first major step after the IPO in mid May to evolve from the international technology leader in Internet-based PC controls to the market leader. A highly qualified staff with many years of experience could be signed on for the subsidiary.
